SAN DIEGO INDOOR STAIR LIFTS Operating an indoor straight stairlift is simple: take a seat, fasten the seatbelt and push the armrest paddle control. Apply constant pressure on the paddle control (which can be located on the left or right armrest) to travel up or down the steps. Indoor stairlifts are engineered to travel slightly faster going upstairs than down.
